Hot water is one of those modern luxuries that many of us cannot live without, especially in winter. A broken hot water system can be a major inconvenience. Electric hot water systems have a limited life of around 10 years before they can start to leak. You may notice an increase of water flowing from the overflow or water leaking from the top or base of the unit. Once your system starts leaking, it may be time to get it checked and replaced.

Tempering valves
Any new hot water system installation will also include a tempering valve which mixes cold and hot water on the exit of the system to deliver hot tap water at a constant temperature of 50C or less. Tempering valves are a mandatory requirement for all installations to help prevent scalding. If you do not currently have a tempering valve we can also install one onto an existing system.
